The Beginning
Hello
Just thought I would like you to know how it all started. and to pay tribute to a couple of dogs who have sadly been lost to us
Ros and I met about 9 years ago at a local training class at the time I had a pet quality Rough Collie puppy, Ros turned up with a very nice Tri coloured Rough Collie and offered her to me to show I accepted her offer and Bo (Roscot Bo Peep ) came to live with me.
A friendship and a partnership followed Ros at that time breeding using the ROSCOT prefix, She had Rough Collies all decendants of Tom Walls FELLVIEW line. among them was Roscot its A Kinda Magic. and her daughter Bo and her son was Roscot Buzz Lightyear who we sadly lost 2007, He was a great character and will be very much missed , Bo still lives a very happy life at the farm now 11 years young.
When we joined as partners we took out the Affix IMPENZIE ,We have 2 Rough Collie bitches both sired by Buzz .Sunnie and Luna, When we breed from them we will be looking for correct structure, good fitted jacket and a proper wedge shaped head, and not forgetting the good gentle nature that is so much a Rough Collie With a little imput from Val Geddes (INGLEDENE) we hope to keep the correct points of the breed.
Roscot Buzz Lightyear
Ros was watching Crufts one year and was very impressed by an Australian Shepherd who won Group 2 that year. His name was Am CH Thornapple Climate Controlled ( Lorenzo) After doing a lot of research about the breed we decided we wanted one and not only that one out of Lorenzo. This dog for us had everything , including a fantastic temperment. We approached Jayne Holligan who sold us our first aussie. Arwen who was sired by Lorenzo, was our first and is responsible for our addiction to this wonderful breed.
We also had the pleasure of Lorenzo living at the farm with Ros and our other dogs during the summer of 2007 before returning south. We were very sad to learn that lorenzo was lost to us all early 2008, he will be missed by many, a great ambassador to the breed and a lovely dog to live with. he will live on in his children and grandchildren
